Editorial questions, factual corrections, story tips, or just want to say hello — email is the right way to reach me.

Charles Carboneau
I write all of the articles on this site personally. There's no editorial team, no content marketing department, and no automated submission system — every email goes to me directly.
Prefer not to use email? Fill out the form below and the message comes straight to my inbox. I'll reply within 2–3 business days.
What I'm happy to hear about
- Factual corrections. If a number is wrong, a tax rule has changed, or a model spec has been updated, I want to know. Source attribution helps.
- Story tips and topic suggestions. What EV ownership questions aren't being answered well online? What did you want to know that nobody covered? Reader questions often become article topics.
- Personal experiences worth sharing. If you've owned an EV through something interesting — a battery replacement, a road trip mishap, an insurance surprise — I sometimes feature reader experiences in articles (with your permission, anonymized if you'd prefer).
- Press and partnership inquiries. If you're a journalist, podcast, or other publication looking to quote, syndicate, or collaborate, please reach out.
- Sister-site questions. Curious about thefrugal.ai (my broader frugal-living publication) or want to be notified when its 4-part series goes live? Mention it in your email.
What I can't help with
This site is editorial content, not personalized financial or tax advice. A few things I have to decline:
- Specific tax advice for your situation. The articles cover general rules. Your specific situation needs your own CPA. If you're in Northeast Indiana and looking for one, I can sometimes recommend colleagues — happy to do that by email, but I can't be your CPA myself.
- "Should I buy this specific car?" recommendations. I can point you to the relevant article. I can't give you an individual purchase recommendation — too many variables are personal.
- Manufacturer warranty disputes. Those go directly to the manufacturer's customer service, not me.
- Affiliate or sponsorship offers. The site is currently unmonetized by design. If that changes, the disclosure will be public on every article.
Response time and tone
I read everything but reply on a 2-3 business day cadence. Mornings tend to be best. I write back personally — there's no autoresponder beyond a delivery confirmation.
One thing worth saying explicitly: I appreciate good-faith disagreement. If you read an article and think a conclusion is wrong, I'd rather hear about it than not. The site improves from reader feedback. That said, abusive emails get deleted; I'm a private citizen running a small editorial site, not a public utility.
